1970年4月24日，长征一号运载火箭成功地把“东方红一号”卫星送入预定轨道。1981年9月，中国用一枚火箭发射一组三颗卫星成功，使我国成为世界上少数几个掌握一箭多星技术的国家之一。1994年2月8日，新型运载火箭“长征三号”发射成功，火箭运载能力达到2.5吨。1997年5月12日，“长征三号”火箭发射“东方红三号”通信卫星成功，这表明我国通信卫星技术又上了一个新的台阶。 |

On April 24,1970,"Long March I" carrier rocket
successfully sent "East Is Red I" satellites into orbit, making China one of the
few countries in the world to have the capability of deploying multiple satellites with a
single rocket. On February 8 1994, the new type carrier rocket "Long March III",
which has a payload of 3.2 tons, was successfully launched. On May 12 1997, "Long
March III" launched "East Is Red III" Communications satellite,
signifying a new height in China's communications satellite technology. |
